Blonde Brown, a new recruitment firm specialising in contract and permanent positions, has just launched in Yorkshire. Set up by Charlotte Watson and Kate Chandan, the company will operate nationally to match people with businesses across a range of sectors including accountancy and finance; engineering and manufacturing; hospitality; retail; human resources; logistics; and sales and marketing.

Collectively, Charlotte and Kate have a proven track record in the industry, spanning over 20 years, managing the recruitment process on behalf of independent employers through to major blue chip organisations from junior positions to management and board appointments.

As independent expert recruiters, Charlotte and Kate are on hand for people looking for their next move or step on the career path. For businesses seeking to expand teams, Blonde Brown offers a bespoke recruitment process that will help secure the very best talent.

Charlotte Watson

Charlotte began her recruitment career in a very busy office in Westminster , London working with Temporary and Permanent candidates within a commercial office.

Charlotte then moved into a Business Development , Corporate Sales role with the responsibility for securing all new business over 12 central London branches , working on tenders , presentations and Client Account Management .

After successfully working with several high profile clients and account managing these accounts , which gave her a strong understanding of developing and maintaining great relationships with clients , whilst developing her own personal sales experience , achieving Business Development Manager of the Year .

On relocating to Yorkshire , Charlotte successfully managed several local and regional Offices with experience in Finance & Accounting , IT , Sales & Marketing , Design , Graduate , Commercial Office and Industrial Recruitment .

A change of direction lead to Charlotte running her own successful businesses and during the Pandemic Charlotte has been involved in Business Consultancy work for a number of local York businesses.

An opportunity earlier this year to project manage a large piece of recruitment for a local Yorkshire company has resulted in Blonde Brown Recruitment .

Charlotte is passionate about people working in a job they love alongside working with clients to understand the culture and heart of their business securing the best people to join their teams.

Kate Chandan

When Kate left university (more years ago than Kate would care to admit! ) with a Marketing degree Kate had no idea what she wanted to do , contacted some agencies to help her secure a role in marketing. 

Kate was offered several roles as Recruitment Consultant by some of the agencies , her Recruitment career began , working initially for an agency in Leeds city centre focusing on marketing positions.

Kate then changed direction and entered the world of Corporate Sales with some large FMCG brands including Heineken, Fox’s Biscuits & Seabrook Crisps – yep all the healthy stuff!

After a break from the corporate world Kate became a full time mum to her three beautiful children.  Once they were a little older Kate re-entered the world of sales , earlier this year an opportunity to work on a project for a large local employer reignited her passion for recruitment and Blonde Brown Recruitment was born.

Kate loves seeing people fulfil their potential , being part of their journey to find the right role fills her with joy.
