The City of York Council proposed a new action plan to continue creating new homes in the city.

The council’s Housing Delivery Programme will aims to build 600 new homes in York in council-owned sites. At least 40% of the new homes will be classed as affordable which is more than double the amount required by planning laws. The council plans to deliver over 13,150 new homes through 2033.
