Simon Snaize, who is a local York musician, recently released a new charity single called Under the Gun.
The single was released on the 19th June to raise money for Sickle Cell Society, a foundation dedicated to raising awareness of sickle cell anaemia and offering support to sufferers.
The Sickle Cell Society is the only national charity in the UK that supports and represents people affected by a sickle cell disorder to improve their overall quality of life.
Friday 19th June was also ‘World Sickle Cell Day’ but due to the recent pandemic, this has made it hard for charities who depend on donations.
