Baroque Around the Books @ Tang Hall Explore Presented by Filo Barocco Thu, 21 July 2022
Baroque around the Books, a mini-tour of three Explore York community libraries with the musical group filoBarocco - will be taking place this July thanks to a new initiative by the NCEM working in association with Explore York supported by Culture & Wellbeing York.
filoBarocco are: Maria Luisa Montano, flute; Francesco Facchini, violin; Carlo Maria Paulesu, cello; and Marco Baronchelli, lute. This visit to York is the first time that the ensemble have played in the UK. Supported through by NCEM’s European talent development programme EEEmerging+, they promise a short, informal concert taking their inspiration from the finest composers of the Baroque age, adding their own surprising and delightful artistic twist.
Baroque around the Books will give the people of York the chance to enjoy a lovely summer concert – free of charge - as we work to share the joy of music making with our partners at Explore York Libraries and Archives.
Tickets are free, but pre- booking is essential.
