Joseph Rowntree's Theatre celebrates their 20th birthday with a new season launch.

The fabulous line-up of shows in the theatre’s new season launch is a great way to celebrate the Joseph Rowntree Theatre charity’s 20th birthday. The charity owns, manages, and maintains the theatre. The new season runs from June to September, and it features an exciting array of shows. Tickets go on sale to the public on Saturday 8 April 2023.

Barbara Boyce, Joseph Rowntree Theatre Trustee and Volunteer Director, said: “There really is something for everyone in this new season’s line-up, from rip-roaring big number musicals to terrific tribute acts featuring performers we all know and love.

“And a trip to the theatre with family or friends won’t break the bank. We have many offers available. If you book three shows at one time, we’ll give you a 10% discount and on selected shows we offer family and group discounts.

“Treat yourself to a great night out – come see our new shows and help celebrate our charity’s birthday!”

Tickets are available on the website and at the box office Visit josephrowntreetheatre.co.uk/ for more details and the new season schedule. You can also download the new season brochure on the website.

Raise the Roof Appeal

We need to raise £95,000 to replace our theatre roofs. Without these urgent repairs to our leaky roofs, we risk further damage to the fabric of our beautiful theatre, which is a Grade II listed building.

We’ve been entertaining local communities in York for over 85 years. Help us to safeguard the future of our theatre so we can entertain you for another 85 and more!
