Kentmere House Gallery is an independent gallery founded by Ann and David Petherick in 1991 and based in their home, a spacious Edwardian house built, and originally occupied, by the Methodists. There is a splendid staircase and a number of high, well-lit rooms ideal for showing art, and the house overlooks York’s famous Knavesmire and racecourse. Open everyday by appointment
