£1 million pounds in funding has been awarded to help prevent York homes from flood damage.

£1 million pounds in funding has been awarded to help prevent York homes from flood damage.

The Environment Agency has provided this funding to help areas in York that are more at risk to flooding such as Naburn and Acaster Malbis.

The Funding will provide homeowners in these areas will equipment such as flood barriers, self-closing air bricks and pumps.

This equipment will be available to be installed from between now until December 2023.
