Five-million-pound improvement plans for York racecourse have been approved.
The course said the plans aim to offer a better experience for visitors.
The scheme will see upgrades south of the Knavesmire Stand to bring the southern side of the course up to a higher standard. More seating, bars, and food stands will also be created.
The planning committee passed the plans unanimously and the work is expected to be completed in time for the 2024 racing season.
