Last Saturday the annual Strictly fundraiser in aid of St Leonard’s Hospice took place at Riley-Smith Hall in Tadcaster and raised over £10,000. Eight couples with no professional experience competed in three dances, judged by Chris Robinson, The British Amateur Latin Sequence Dance Champion.
The couples were tasked with not only learning the 3 dances but also to raise at least £500. Their fundraising excelled as well as their dancing ability with one couple raising over £2,000. In the end, it was Steph Leighton-Miles and Adam Coggin who came out victorious to lift the Glitter Ball trophy.
