An elderly woman left a young doctor requiring emergency surgery after she pulled out at a junction on York Road.
The victim told York magistrates court that she is yet to fully recover from the injuries she suffered when she was hit by 83-year-old June Ricknell last July.
The grandmother was giving her friend a lift home from a Sunday morning service at her church when she pulled out into the motorcyclist.
The victim says she felt being thrown into the air before having to be rushed to Leeds General Infirmary with internal injuries and broken bones.
Following the crash, she needed 24-hour care and is still unable to walk without the aid of a Zimmer frame.
Ricknell plead guilty to causing serious injury by careless driving and has been banned from the roads.
