A new marina is being planned to be developed in the York suburb of Bishopthorpe.

A new Marina is being planned to be developed in the York suburb of Bishopthorpe.

The Marina has been drawn up to be around 250-berth and would create 30 jobs in the local area.

In addition to the Marina the site would also include a scouts and guides specific campsite as well as a field, inclusive to dog walkers.

The idea is being proposed to the Bishopthorpe Parish Council and if accepted would help meet the demand for extra boat moorings in York.
