Bonmarché has submitted plans for a new Coppergate site.
A popular value fashion chain could be returning to York. Bonmarché has submitted plans for a new Coppergate site. Bonmarché closed its doors in Goodramgate 18 months ago after the company went into administration for a second time in just a few years.
This closure meant that the nearest Bonmarche store to York was in Selby. After closing around 30 stores it has in recent months opened or is about to open new stores in Oban, Paisley, Spalding, Crawley, as well as others.
Bonmarché has now submitted a planning application to the City of York Council for Units 17 and 18 at 5 St Mary’s in Coppergate, which used to contain a Boots.
