The Nyetimber residency at Castle Howard this Christmas is in celebration of the ongoing partnership between the two British icons

This Christmas, Castle Howard visitors can enjoy Nyetimber English Sparkling Wine aboard The Nyetimber bus, which will be parked up at the heart of Castle Howard’s stunning Yorkshire setting, overlooking Castle Howard’s baroque North Front with sweeping views over the Great Lake towards the North York Moors.

At the end of the month, the Nyetimber 1968 Routemaster bus will embark on a 200-mile journey from London to North Yorkshire, the first time the iconic Routemaster bus will have travelled as far north, making its way for the all-important stop at Castle Howard.

From the 1st to the 5th December Nyetimber will be serving their world-renowned English Sparkling Wines daily for visitors to enjoy, more details to be announced. Tasting events on the bus will be available exclusively for Castle Howard members, hosted by a Nyetimber Brand Ambassador, including the history and heritage of Nyetimber and a detailed tasting of three award-winning wines – Classic Cuvee Multi-Vintage, Blanc de Blancs 2014, and Cuvee Cherie Multi-Vintage.

As well as onboard The Nyetimber bus, Castle Howard visitors can also enjoy a glass of Nyetimber with a Happily Ever Afternoon Tea,  in the Courtyard Cafe. Happily Ever Afternoon Tea is bookable on Castle Howard’s website.

Nyetimber pride themselves on crafting sparkling wine that rivals some of the most prestigious wine sparkling wine houses in the world. Every bottle is made from 100% estate-owned fruit with Nyetimber owning the process from vine to bottle.

Castle Howard is a stately home in North Yorkshire, England, 15 miles north of York. Set in the Howardian Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Castle Howard is a private residence and has been home of the Carlisle branch of the Howard family for more than 300 years. Castle Howard was commissioned by the 3rd Earl of Carlisle in 1699 and took over 100 years to complete. Successive generations have welcomed visitors to the House and it was first opened to the public by George Howard in 1952. Visitors can expect dramatic interiors and world-renowned art collections inside the House. The Gardens offer extensive woodland walks, temples, lakes and fountains with an adventure playground, Skelf Island, for the younger visitors to burn off steam.
