Plans are in order for a huge revamp of a York Pub. Greene King will be updating The Ainsty on Boroughbridge Road, in an attempt to attract new customers to the venue. In planning documents submitted to the City of York Council, the brewery describes the pub as “relatively popular with the local community as well as students in the area”.
The plans contain a new external colour scheme for the building as well as external ground finishes, including a ‘Hive Blue’ paint job, festoon lighting and a new pergola. A new, larger fence will also be installed, along with gates and a walk-in freezer.
