Coney Street’s Paperchase is one of an eye-watering 106 Paperchase stores shutting down across the UK, with redundancy a possibility for hundreds of employees.
The fate of Paperchase came after the company was placed on the market by owner Steve Curtis, but failed to attract a buyer. Tesco has now agreed to buy the chain’s brand, however have chosen not to take on board its shops or workforce.
