Appeal launched after fatal collision in Foxwood, York

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses, dash cam footage and CCTV footage after a 17-year-old motorcyclist died in a collision.

The collision happened on Foxwood Lane, York on Thursday 3 August at around 7:40pm after the rider and motorcycle, which was a silver BMW, collided with a lamppost after it left the road.

Sadly after resuscitation attempts, the boy was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Police are appealing to anyone who saw the collision or saw the motorcyclist travelling along Foxwood Lane from the direction of Askham Lane, York prior to the incident, to contact them.

They are also appealing for dasham and CCTV footage before or at the time of the collision.
