It is understood that four people were arrested at York Designer Outlet on Saturday.
An eyewitness recalled seeing the arrests take place in the car park at the outlet at noon, however North Yorkshire Police are yet to confirm this.
The witness detailed that there was a dog unit present, as well as an undercover car and a police van blocking the entrance to the first car park at York Designer Outlet.
There were items confiscated from the suspects of the unconfirmed crime and two of the four were led away in handcuffs.
