Barclays Bank will still remain in Haxby even after the closure of the local branch thanks to a community led campaign.
The bank is set to close its doors in October of this year however due to a petition signed by over 700 residents Barclays have agreed to keep a presence in the village after the closure.
Barclays will have a help van which will be placed outside Haxby Memorial Hall twice a week on Wednesdays and Thursdays and then will be placed in the new Haxby and Wigginton Library when it opens in Autumn from 9.30am until 3.30am on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
