Business Funding Extension in York, North Yorkshire & East Riding

Tuesday, 16 May 2023 15:46

By Chantele Hodson

Business Scale Up was formed in 2019 as a £2.8 million programme part-funded by the European Social Fund. The programme helps businesses based in York, North Yorkshire and East Riding to identify and access the support they need to grow.

By accessing support through Business Scale Up, businesses can save significant amounts of
money on training and consultancy. Since 2021, the programme has provided businesses with
significant funding contributions towards development in areas such as leadership and
management, health and safety, mental health, employee engagement and retention, sales
and more.

Over the last two years, Business Scale Up has invested over £900,000 with SME
(small and medium-sized enterprise) businesses across the region, prompting significant
growth.

The programme was due to end in September 2023 but, due to its success, the team has
secured an extension of two months. Business owners in the region now have until November
2023 to access expert advice and a 30% funding contribution to essential support.

“We are delighted that we now have more time to provide vital support to businesses in our
region,” says Helen Rice, Business Scale Up Programme Manager. “Our main goal is to
support as many SMEs as possible while we can. We really encourage business owners to set
up a free consultation with our expert advisors to discuss their goals and needs so we can
guide them towards the best training or coaching for them."

Limited spaces are available on selected courses and workshops, so act fast to make the most
of Business Scale Up’s offer. Visit www.businessscaleup.co.uk/upcoming-training to browse

The Business Scale Up Programme is part-funded by the European Social Fund as part of the
European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020.
