Museumand, the National Caribbean Heritage Museum, founded by mother and daughter Catherine Ross and Lynda Burell, have brought the travelling exhibition, ‘Objeks and Tings’, to the Castle Museum in York.
The exhibition, which runs until 1st November displays everyday objects including household goods, food packaging, beauty supplies, funeral items, music, games, books, and newspapers.
The exhibition has arrived in time for the 75-year anniversary of the docking of HMT Empire Windrush in Tilbury Docks in Essex, carrying over a thousand passengers from the Caribbean.
