City of York Council reminding families of 31st October deadline for applications for secondary school

City of York Council is reminding parents and carers that Secondary school applications for September 2023 for children born between 1 September 2011 and 31 August 2012 must be submitted before midnight on 31 October.

City of York Council is reminding parents and carers that Secondary school applications for September 2023, for children born between 1 September 2011 and 31 August 2012, must be submitted before midnight on 31 October.

A maximum of five schools can be applied for recommending at least one preference should be the catchment school. 

The admissions criteria for each preference school should be read to understand how decisions about allocation of places are made for maintained schools and the academy trusts. 

Applications can be made online via School admissions – City of York Council.
