The City of York Council has made the decision to remove the usual November Business Festival in favour of a year's worth of events.
A council spokesperson has said, “This switch to a more spread-out approach has been informed by feedback from attendees and event organisers,”.
They also said that they hope that this year-round approach will enable greater business attendance, with evaluation informing them that a November festival wasn’t the best time of year for all businesses in the city. The city of York Council is also working with partners across York in order to try and help local businesses with further events planned.
