A terraced house in Magdalens Close, Ripon, was said to have been on fire at 7pm on Friday, with crews from Harrogate, Ripon, Boroughbridge, Thirsk, Bedale and Northallerton attending the scene.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said that the crews sectorised the fires and used two hose reel jets, four main jets and breathing apparatus to overcome the fire.
