Local residents in Linton on Ouse are due to demonstrate at an upcoming council meeting about the imminent arrival of asylum seekers.

Local Tory MP Kevin Hollinrake is outraged having raised his concerns about a lack of preparedness and local consultation with Government Ministers.  

A petition has been signed by nearly 4,000 people who are concerned about security, particularly the intimidation of vulnerable people in the village.

The facility will house 1,500 single male adults from Libia, Iran, Iraq and Syria
