A six-storey hotel is due to receive a green light to be built in Micklegate.

A six-storey hotel is due to receive a green light to be built in Micklegate. The new eco-hotel is planned to be built in a derelict car park at the back of Mill House in the city centre. Originally planned to be an eight-storey ‘zero carbon’ hotel with 99 rooms, the plans have been scaled back and will instead offer 82 rooms for tourists and visitors. Council planning staff have said the hotel will have a ‘very limited impact on the local surroundings, such as All Saints Church.
