York Station has unveiled a new family lounge on the main concourse, complete with a city walls-themed play area.
Designed for families traveling with any train operator, it includes play spaces, tabletop games, murals celebrating York’s landmarks, and relaxing areas for parents.
Opened by the Lord Mayor and LNER’s David Horne, the lounge builds on the success of a similar space at London King’s Cross.
Supported by a £20,000 Railway Heritage Trust grant, it features restored historic details.
