Make It York and the City of York Council have teamed up with ARG Events and Festivals Grants to lay on a weekend of classic films old and new, playing right here at Monkgate.
Theatre@41 is set to become Film@41 in its first ever role as the Groves Community Cinema.
Make It York and the City of York Council have teamed up with ARG Events and Festivals Grants to lay on a weekend of classic films old
and new, playing at Theatre41@Monkgate.
In a bid to bring local residents together, all screenings are 'pay what you feel' – so the price of a ticket is just what visitors can afford.
The weekend programme gets off to a magical start with the singalong version of Disney’s Encanto followed by sci-fi classic Close
Encounters of the Third Kind.
Sunday’s films will get you thinking – 1960s favourite Kes and recently-released, highly-acclaimed Nomadland.
The Groves Community Cinema is at Theatre@41 Monkgate, York, Saturday September 10 and Sunday September 11 with matinee and
evening performances.
