Visually impaired artist Marc Godfrey-Murphy designed 10 Nutcracker sculptures with Braille inscriptions for York's Christmas Around the World trail, celebrating the city's diversity.
Each sculpture highlights a different country, with Braille-inscribed collars naming the nation.
Painted in flag colours and referencing landmarks, the trail was developed with input from refugee group Our City Hub.
Godfrey-Murphy, known for animating CBeebies shows, aimed to ensure inclusivity for visually impaired visitors.
Organised by York BID, the event emphasises community and runs until January 1, despite one nutcracker briefly disappearing and being recovered intact.
