It has been confirmed that the King and Queen Consort will be returning to York on Thursday 6th April to attend the Royal Maundy Service at The Minster.
The King and Camilla, Queen Consort will distribute their first Maundy Money to 74 men and 74 women, reflecting the King's age. The free gift from the King is to thank exceptional Christian people for their contribution to their communities. The last time Maundy Money was distributed at the Minster was in 2012 by her late Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, in her Diamond Jubilee year.
