Northern Rail is fitting a water spray system to passenger trains hoping the Water-Trak technology will alleviate slippery tracks from leaves falling on the lines.
The system from Water Trak will be in use on 16 trains operating on the York, Harrogate, Leeds routes as well as Scarborough, Hull, Sheffield and Doncaster.
