German supermarket chain Lidl is planning on opening a third store in York adding to its stores in Acomb and on James Street.

Lidl have submitted these plans to the council and hope to take over the old TK Maxx site after TK Maxx moved in 2020.

The supermarket would create 40 jobs and if approved, would have a new modern style which would also include EV charging bays and a drive through takeaway to give customers a better retail experience.
