A York primary school has been saved from closure by a local education alliance.
Naburn CE primary school was under threat of closure after it received a rating of inadequate by Ofsted and was told that unless an academy chain sponsored them they would be closed.
Since then the 150-year-old school has been deemed fit for purpose and has now been sponsored by The Education Alliance from the East Riding (TEAL) saving it from potential closure.
