Major supermarket chain Morrisons has helped support World Book Day by donating to a local York school.
Hempland Primary School in York received the donation which featured a variety of new books for the school’s library.
The books that were donated by the Morrisons Foundations cover themes around emotional wellbeing and friendship and social groups to help aid the children’s development.
This donation is part of the foundation’s partnership with the National Literacy Trust in which Morrisons will donate 5,500 books to help more than 100,000 primary school children.
