Ellerby's restaurant located within Malton Hospital recently participated in the NHS Big Tea campaign raising a fantastic £304 for York & Scarborough Hospitals Charity, which will directly benefit Malton Hospital.
Jezz Kipling, Catering Manager at Malton Hospital, organised the event, aiming to bring the local community together while raising funds to support the hospital.
Local residents were invited to see the newly refurbished Ellerby's restaurant whilst enjoying a selection of homemade baking accompanied by coffee or tea served in traditional teapots for a nostalgic touch. There was also a lucky dip game with prize donations contributed by local businesses.
The event proved to be a great success, bringing in a sense of community spirit and raising valuable funds for Malton Hospital. York & Scarborough Hospitals Charity fund improvements to the hospital environment and services which are above and beyond NHS funding. The contribution from the event will make a real difference to staff and patients spending time in Malton hospital.
