Man rescued from River Ouse during Storm Ciarán

A man has been rescued from the river Ouse after he fell into the flooded river in the city centre where water levels have been high since the arrival of Storm Ciarán.

A man has been rescued from the river Ouse after he fell into the flooded river in the city centre where water levels have been high since the arrival of Storm Ciarán.

 North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service responded to a call of a man in the river by Ouse Bridge in York. York rescue boat were also called to the scene.

The man was thrown a life ring and rescued by the fire and rescue boat. He was then treated by paramedics on the riverbank.
