York City Ladies FC are putting an iconic local landmark in the spotlight as they unveil their new home kit.
Their 2024/25 season shirts have been given a fresh design featuring the ornate pattern from York's historic LendalBridge including the White Rose.
Paula Stainton, Chair of York City Ladies and York City Foundation Manager, says: "We wanted to show how much we, as a Club, love York and our community and this marks the start of our season long Love York" .. And what better way to do that than by using the recognisable architectural features of local landmarks from our beautiful City.
The bespoke away shirt that we launched last year was so well received, featuring markings from Monkbar and launched with a photoshoot from the bar walls, that we knew had to come back as strong this year.
We've kept the traditional York City red colour of the shirts - but we've used the shape from the bridge. It makes the kit look really striking, and the players love it."
Both the "Monkbar" away replica shirt, and the new "Lendal" home replica shirt are available to buy now from

With prices starting from £31.95 and both children and adult sizes available, along with our Goalkeepers shirt.
Fans will also be able to buy from the MinsterBelles merchandise stall on York City ladies home matchdays as a small stock will be available from early September.
Says Paula. "Buying a York City Ladies shirt is a fantastic way to be a part of our growing Club and community."
"It was wonderful to see both adults and children coming along to matches last season wearing the shirts and we hope this encourages even more people to get involved.
York City Ladies and York City Foundation both place a huge emphasis on creating pride in our city – and making a difference in the wider York community."
The team marked the official launch of the new season's kit with a photoshoot at Lendal Bridge followed by The Grand, York, who have become sponsors of this seasons Matchday Experiences encouraging local girls teams to take part on matchdays as Ballgirls, Player Mascots or Flagwavers.

Lendal Bridge – did you know...?
This ornate iron structure was the second of three modern road bridges built across the River Ouse in York, and replacedan earlier ferry service.
It's architect, Thomas Page, also designed SkeldergateBridge, and Westminster Bridge in London.
After the bridge opened in 1863, people had to pay a toll to cross. The last toll was charged in 1894, but you can still see the two small tollhouses, which are now cafes.
