The annual return of the Mothership Festival this weekend was another great success.
On Sunday 4 June, Jorvik Radio opened the main stage at Mothership Festival 2023 with the winners of the battle of the band competition - The Corsairs. The local group were a firm favourite of the crowds and they rocked the stage with their incredible performance.
The day was filled with amazing music from further local bands. These included:
2pm - Lily Hope and Simon Snaize
3pm - Living Young
4pm - The Y Street Band
6pm - The Supermodels
All of the artists who performed at Mothership Festival this year were fantastic and the energy was matched with the lively crowds of York. The open air festival, which was based at Acomb Sports Centre, was full of various food and drinks stalls and activities for children.
Paired with great atmosphere and weather, Mothership Festival 2023 was a considerable success.
