A fire crew were called out to the collision at Hawthorn Terrace in the New Earswick area, which involved two cars. The incident happened at around 5:50pm.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that Huntington crews had attended the scene.
The spokesperson also confirmed that no people were injured or trapped inside the vehicles and the car was safely winched away from the crash scene on the carriageway.
