Many areas of York have been troubled by water problems over the past week. This has led to the closure of a major York road.

Traffic could no longer pass through Stockton Lane, between Hopgrove Lane South and Hempland Lane due to extensive flooding in that area.

Problems like this are occurring elsewhere such as Huntington, where there have been cases of reduced water pressure or no water at all in homes, as well as in Dringhouses.

Yorkshire Water is now working on repairs after what has been a frustrating few days.
