Naburn Primary school is still under threat of closure due to falling pupil numbers and following an Ofsted report 5 months ago, saying it was inadequate.
City of York Council are engaged in trying to find an academy chain sponsor as well as discussing the school’s future if one is not found.
Ofsted made an inspection visit in June and wrote to the headmaster saying “You and your governing body have acted purposefully to address the weaknesses in the school from the previous inspection” but went on to say it is still inadequate in some areas.
