Members of the National Education Union are back on the picket line as they stage a fresh strike in the long running pay battle.
This comes after the Union rejected the offers of a £1000 one-off payment and a 4.5% increase in funding next year.
However, many teachers believe that their wages have reduced by 23% since 2010,
In York, this means that Primary schools Clifton Green, Fishergate, and Yearsley Grove have had to completely close, and all of York’s secondary schools are also partially closed.
