The National Railway Museum’s contentious proposal for a more significant redevelopment of the York Central site will be raised to the City of York Council on Thursday 7th July.
The proposal has racked up 119 objections, many coming from residents and councillors in Leeman Road, which would have to close if the plans were to go ahead. Holgate councillors David Heaton, Rachel Melly and Kallum Taylor said “The plans still remove the only route that is direct and always available for the 4000 residents living in the Leeman Road area”.
