Recent figures from the Land Registry have revealed that, in April, house prices in York went up by an average of £2000. The average amount that residents will need to buy a house in York has risen to £302,263, showing an increase of 7.9% in a 12-month period. According to the figures, detached housing has shown the biggest increase since March, a difference of £3966.
At present, York’s housing prices are substantially higher than the UK average of just over £281,000 and this doesn’t look like changing any time soon.
