The name of the new prison being built near York has been announced as HMP Millsike.
The name of the new prison being built near York has been announced as HMP Millsike.
The prison will be based in Full Sutton and next to the existing HMP Full Sutton top security prison.
HMP Millsike was named after the Millsike beck which runs alongside the site and is planned to hold nearly 1,500 prisoners.
Work on the prison began last November and is expected to finish in 2025.
