York City Council are extending their list of products they deem as recyclable.
The new list was developed in partnership recycling partners and will feature new items such as plastic yoghurt pots and foil.
In addition to these changes the council will also be extending the green bin collection period by a month with it now recommencing after the November end date in March instead of the regular April start date.
These changes should help to reduce the big boom of green waste in April and also help York become greener with increased recycling.
