A brand-new sport centred shop is set to open in the old Debenhams building at Monks Cross.
After Debenhams closed in December 2019 the site has been empty but not for much longer as a Decathlon store is taking its place.
Decathlon are a famed French sport retailer with over 700 stores in the UK and now have a full store to themselves after having had a small inside section in Asda.
The store is set to open in late October after acquiring the site earlier this year.
