Although promising better and more lights than ever this year, there will be no official switch on of the Christmas lights in York.

St Nicholas Fair is celebrating 30 years and taking centre stage. 

MakeitYork are busy making extra special plans for the fair which will run from 17th November to 23rd December.  Sunday – Thursday 10:00 to 18:00 and Friday & Saturday 10:00 to 20:00.

70 alpine chalets situated in Parliament Street and St Sampson’s Square will be joined by The Winter Hutte – a traditional 2 storey swiss chalet offering a dining experience upstairs with traditional Christmas drinks downstairs.  The dining experience is provided by Michelin starred Yorkshire chef Andrew Pern.  You can book your dining experience now by going to The Winterhutte - an Alpine world in the heart of the city of York
