Healthwatch York has said that not one dental practice in the York area applied for part of a £50m fund available to provide for additional dentist appointments.

The fund expired in March and a spokesman for Healthwatch York said “We have been calling for some time now for urgent and radical reform of the NHS dental contract. The current contract is not fit for purpose.”
