A man who shot a gun at seals in Filey has had his firearm destroyed by the police. The co-founder of the Yorkshire Seal Group, Matt Barnes, witnessed and documented more than ten incidents on the coast. The group seeks to protect positive human-seal interactions along the coastline.
Matt said: “It is simply deplorable for anyone to attempt to injure or kill seals for simply eating the fish in their ocean home.”
