The residents of Upper Poppleton could soon enjoy the sight of a new pond on Chantry Green.
The plans have been proposed by the parish council, with villagers being given until 17th April to vote on the matter.
The parish council has stated that it has been trying to come up with ways to improve Chantry Green for a long time and have wanted to make use of some of the land to build the small pond.
The pond in Wiggington was their inspiration.
